You may be most familiar with hypnosis and hypnotherapy from television or magic shows. While much fun has been made of hypnotherapy, in reality it’s a clinically recognized psychological therapy recognized by counselling and psychological associations. Clinically, hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis therapeutically to resolve ineffective patterns, habits or negative emotions. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that all human beings move in and out of all of the time. It is like a daydream and during that daydream state your subconscious mind is receptive and open for positive changes.
In Hypnosis you will never say or do anything that you don’t want to (forget the images you say on TV). You can get up and move around, you can pop yourself out of it at any time and you will remember everything. You are completely in control, yet in a state where positive changes happen quickly.
