Hypnotherapy For Effective Change

While popular media has painted hypnotherapy in a comical light, it is, in reality, a clinically recognized approach to psychological therapy. Clinically, hypnotherapy is the use of therapeutic hypnosis to resolve ineffective patterns, habits, or negative emotions. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that all human beings move in and out of, almost like a daydream, during which your subconscious mind is receptive and open for positive changes.

But what about what I’ve seen on TV?

In hypnosis you will never say or do anything that you don’t want to (forget what you’ve heard on TV!). You can get up and move around, you can pop yourself out of it at any time, and you will remember everything. You are in complete control, yet in a state where positive changes happen quickly. Your mind is a powerful tool and through this effective therapy, Jill can help you use it to your advantage.
As both a Certified Hypnotherapist, and Registered Clinical Counsellor, Jill is uniquely able to integrate hypnotherapy and other important therapies to help you achieve effective change.

When is Hypnotherapy Used?

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy can be used on its own or integrated with other therapies to help you deal with issues arising from anxiety, fears, relationship and family issues, or athletic performance. With hypnotherapy, you will be able to identify and move past subconscious barriers and achieve the lasting and effective change you’ve been looking for.

Choosing a Hypnotherapist

It can be confusing to choose the right hypnotherapist as many of the designations sound the same. It’s also important to remember that a hypnotherapist may not have any type of counselling designation or training.

As both a Certified Hypnotherapist and a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Jill has met rigorous academic & clinical requirements and must adhere to the requirements of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

While hypnotherapy is an important clinical technique, sometimes it’s not enough. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Jill is uniquely able to integrate hypnotherapy and other important therapies to help you achieve the real and effective change you’ve been looking for.
